Here's one fan who thinks this is a WONDERFUL marketing campaign!

A few details/hints for others interested:

1) Watch comments in most recent posts to BYU Football FB page and twitter feed for clues. About 90 minutes before the box was placed they made a comment there saying it would be in West Alabama in the "Druid City." Once I knew it was here in Tuscaloosa (where, fortunately, I live) I went and hung out with my son at the Walk of Champions at Bryant Denny Stadium. That was the odds on most-likely place for anything related to CFB to show up and we were actually there when the guy with the box showed up.

2) I talked with the guy who brought the box down (he's in my stake) and he said that it was up to him where to put the box and take the pic. He said his cousins work for the athletic dept at BYU and they had asked him to do it.

3) Get there even if you're not the first ones. They were instructed to take the names and emails of the 2nd and 3rd placed arrivals and were going to send them some BYU gear in the mail as consolation prizes.

What's in the Box:
1) The football signed by Ty Detmer, Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Robbie Bosco, Gifford Nielson, Marc Wilson, Steve Sarkisian, John Beck, and Max Hall. (the Crown Jewel of the box for sure ... and instant heirloom).
2) The Pylon ... with the Y and Nike Swoosh. High "cool factor" on that.
3) A high quality jersey ... I assume it's a real jersey, but doesn't have a player name on it. It's number "1"
4) A T-shirt
5) A sports gear bag
6) Sunglasses
7) Several Air Fresheners and Stickers and Temporary Tatoos
8) A poster
