My 6 and 4 yo have never eaten so much as they have this past month. They eat a full dinner at 6 and are starving at 8. They are also drinking water like crazy because of the heat. They've both wet their bed in the past month, which they have never done before. I wouldn't read into it too much. Playing in the sun makes them burn a lot more calories.
