Don't let rankings tell you everything. There's more to it. They don't look so good last year on the ranking, but they landed two top 10 players in the nation, 3 top 10 at their position. They field good athletes and that state has some of the best athletes in the country to offer.
Their coaching problems are much bigger than their recruiting problems. He can say "UVA is crap" but put them in the MWC and they beat up on a lot of the teams. You can't go JUST on their record, and just on recruiting rankings.
