Bigger issue is as more shops close in the gateway, fewer customers will come, perpetuating the downward spiral. Crappy attendance at jazz games this past year sure didn't help things.

With the gateway's proximity to homeless shelters and pioneer park, I get nervous that all that effort to revitalize west downtown will come crashing down if the gateway keeps slipping. I hope it doesn't become transient alley.
