they are two different things.
transgender = you say that you are one gender stuck inside the body of the other.
transexual = you've had the surgery to make your body match the gender.
The real issue is that it's becoming taboo and full of opression to be a "cisgender heterosexual" which is fancy made up talk for "normal person".
