Ash Cleared to practice
Let's look at Ash...
- Ash missed most of last season with concussion symptoms
- Missed part of spring drills with a broken left foot.
- Over the last two seasons, Ash has completed nearly nine yards per attempt with a solid 26-to-10 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
- He clearly has the talent to be one of the most prolific signal-callers in the conference, and now it's just a matter of staying healthy and staying on the gridiron.
Strong, via ESPN's Joe Schad, is making that a priority:

Other two QB's at Texas are:
- Tyrone Swoopes
- Jerrod Heard
Texas has some intriguing youngsters in Tyrone Swoopes and Jerrod Heard, "will be given an opportunity to compete," but the general consensus is that right now Ash gives this team the best chance to win ballgames.

“It has to be Ash for them to have a chance,” an anonymous Big 12 coach told ESPN.com's Travis Haney (subscription required). “Has to be.”
Texas past four years...
- The Longhorns, who have fallen short of 10 wins in the last four seasons (that is very bad for a storied football program)
- On the edge of most preseason top 25 lists.
My thoughts on this. BYU already knows what Ash can do, and he looks to be a good B12 QB, but looking at this now, I really like BYU chances in TX, considering Bronson and Fua on the edge..Another frustrated Ash but this time in TX. I say if Ash bombs, Strong pulls the Jr out and replaces with the young ones in Swoopes and Heard.
