had no financial, tangible incentive to leave, and still chose to bolt to Utah, there would be LESS to give him crap about? Just because you think his dad could afford to cover a year at BYU doesnt mean it shouldnt have been considered. Maybe his dad is frugal, or has certain principles, and told Jake he would have to pay. Maybe he doesnt have a ton of money left relative to the length of his retirement and didnt want to pay for a year of college when he didnt have to. Who knows.

I would be totally indifferent to the Langi transfer if it werent to BYU. Obviously that sours it a bit. Not too worked up about it tho. Glad he left. I would much rather him transfer, than stay and not want to be here.
