For the reason I stated. So we have a better shot at having a good, solid upperclassman leader when the team needs one in 2016. We'll have a bunch of young talent, but they'll be young. We could have half of them not turn out, we could have a Hoffman come out of nowhere, it could be anything, but nothing for sure. Just seems like a good idea to at least have ONE guy with more experience.

I think any experience we can get for 2016 will be great. 2016 is going to be a 2010 type year where we have a lot of hopeful talent, but a ton of guys gone. We'll have a new QB, new RB, some new OL, new WRs who may or may not have some experience under them. Be nice to have a WR who can be that experienced guy to count on. Whether or not Davis can be that guy, we won't know if we don't get this kid on the field. I'm not worried about now, I'm worried about later.
