Infinity - Paradox - Achilles and the Tortoise
I was just studying up on how to explain eternity for a Sunday School lesson...

I am not a mathematician. I am not the sharpest cheese in the fridge. But... I don't see how calculus can say that the the Achilles and the Tortoise paradox is a finite number

1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 etc etc through infinite renditions... = 2

It seems that there will always be a variance that is dividable and will never 100% reach 2.

I know in calculus they have a formula that says math supposedly says otherwise. I just don't see how that calculus is correct.

I chose this category on purpose. Sorry that you have to try to explain something to an uneducated man.
