We're currently spending the night in PG. Any recommendations?

The situation: We're going to visit my oldest son's mission in Colorado. He's a recently returned missionary. Driving down from Seattle, we hit Ogden in our Suburban and the engine suddenly just...died. Wouldn't restart in neutral as we coasted to a stop. I put it in park and it restarted. We continued south and got to Salt Lake, and the same thing happened (though I managed to start it in neutral). I'm thinking fuel line problem, maybe fuel pump, filter, or electronic control, but I'm no mechanic. We planned to spend a day here in the area anyway, so my HCBW and the kids can play in Provo or thereabouts while I get the truck fixed. But I can't wait two weeks for an appointment. My BIL is suggesting a guy he barely knows, which is probably where we will go. But if CBers have some great inside info or solid suggestions for me, I'd love to hear them.
