My company is very big in the carpet and textile industry. Recently they had a charity drive, where the company matched the sales of all college team mats & rugs sold to associates for a donation to United Way. I bought a nice door mat, and a football field rug for my oldest son. I also bought another rug with the stretch Y logo all over it. I wanted it in our front entry way and the HCBW denied me the pleasure. I decided to bring it into work, for my office.
The lady in our lab is a big Aggy fan; she was a scholarship player on the USU women's tennis team. She ordered about 7 or 8 rugs and mats for family as gifts- a lot of them were actually for Cougar fans. She saw how much the shipping was and she backed out. She didn't realize just how much the company was discounting these and that shipping to the plant would save money. Well today I got to show off my new rug to her. She claimed she'd be sure to wipe her feet on it every time she came in from the plant floor. I was quick to remind her who signs her check. It is fun to have an Aggy working for me.
