My laptop is out of warranty, so my school is getting me a new one. Normally we just have to take what IT buys and like it, but at least this year, we get to choose. Specs are relatively the same, Core I5 processors in each with 4 gb RAM and 128 gb hard drives. I'm leaning towards the Surface just for the coolness factor, but I don't know. Basically, I'd be using it for projecting video and PPT presentations, web browsing, and light to medium-duty work with Office products, so both will have more than enough horsepower for that.

I know what I'm getting with a Dell laptop, so I guess what I'm really asking is if anybody has any experience with using the Surface Pro 3. Thoughts?
