This is a big part of percentages that it seems we sometimes overlook.
Not saying Beck and Hall weren't as good as they appeared... They were and they played in the NFL.
But it DOES help your percentages when you have the luxury of dumping 100 passes off for 800-1000 yds in a season to guys in an easy situation (RB). Quick little passes are like layups. High percentage pass. Beck and Hall literally got near what I just mentioned, anywhere ranging up to a thousand yards or more and 100 attempts all thrown to RBs.
We didn't do that last year. Williams is quite capable and was 2nd on the team in receiving yards as a freshman, and averaged a first down every time he caught it. Anae should do everything in his power to bring that back using Jamaal and from what I hear, Brown as well. Williams should easily have more than 400 yds receiving. All of that adds up and really helps the QBs look good. It helped Nelson look better because he dumped 27 passes off to Jamaal. And we all know what he can do once he's in space.
Our RBs should be combining for over 60 catches a season. Last year they combined for 30. An improved Hill, an improved OL, improved RBs, and hopefully an improved Anae should help that this season.
