So, I had an odd conversation today after I got back to the office after lunch.
As I've mentioned on here before, I work with a couple of women. They both very nice ladies and pleasant to chat with. One does like to watch cat videos, and occasionally meows, but they're both nice people and easy to work with. That is, unless I don't chat with them...they tend to get a bit weirded out if I'm "too quiet" or don't talk to them, which is most days since I'm not a real chatty guy (especially on Mondays). I rarely share personal information, and never ask personal questions of them ("what are you doing this weekend?", "what did you did last weekend?", etc, etc...I figure if you want me to know you'll tell me, and if I want you to know I'll tell you).

Anyway, I went to lunch today, like I normally do, and after they struck up an odd conversation with me:

Them: "So, (Texas Hammer), where do you go when you disappear?"
Me: "Uh, you mean when I go to lunch? I go to lunch, that's where I disappear to"
Them: "Are you interviewing anywhere? You just disappear so we're wondering where you go?"
Me: "Uh, I go to lunch a few times a week, and I always go sometime between 11:30 - 1:30. Why would you think I'm interviewing?"
Them: "Well, we don't really think you're interviewing...just was wondering where you disappear to is all."
Me: "Well, like I always do, I go to lunch. So you can relax that I'm just going to lunch and not interviewing. Besides, I'm rarely gone long enough to be interviewing. I'm gone and back within 10 or 15 minutes."

The conversation went on a bit more about them wondering where I go and me telling them to relax that I'm just going to lunch and that they can find me in the food court in the basement of our building if they really wanted to find me. I also told them I'll be sure to let them know where I go if it's any place other than the food court.

I just thought it was a bit odd that they had discussed my whereabouts, considering I go to lunch nearly every day around the same freakin time. I know they do the same thing with my boss when he's gone for lunch or in meetings throughout the day, and will ask me if I know where he's at or what he's doing. I guess it made a usually boring Monday a bit more exciting.
