As some of you know I'm an avid metal detectorist. Some co-workers and I run a Youtube channel (Dirt Fishin America) . Nothing major but we do have over 500k views finally!  I'm a detector dealer, write for a few detecting magazines, and detect all over the United States.

So...we started a Facebook page that's gained a fair amount of steam in the detecting world (small pond....but we're BIG fish! ;P)

Anyway, this special needs "fan" of our Youtube Channel and FB page started messaging me a few months ago.  He's really into "ghost hunting" and has posted a bunch of videos on Youtube.  He's also self published a mystery novel.  But some Amazon reviewers have blasted his book for obvious grammatical errors...I don't think they know he's special needs.

Anyway, he's a great guy and very sincere.  He messaged me last week complementing us on our videos.  He says he plans to stop posting videos because people leave negative comments and email him calling him names.  He was looking for video advice.  I told him to ignore the haters and keep doing what he enjoys, regardless of what others say.  He's pretty bummed and I figured I could use the power of CB to cheer him up.

I was just thinking...if you guys have a minute do you mind commenting on his last video and leaving a postive comment? You know how cruel folks can be, even the ones who realize he is special needs.  You don't even have to watch a video.  Just leave a nice comment on the most recent one.  We could Jimmer this thing!

I'll tell him I spread the word (he asked me too) and that he has a bunch of new BYU fans!  I think it would make his day.  He told me how every publisher said no until he decided to self publish.  Inspiring kid.
