He doesn't have to just get the defense, he has to learn how to tackle, read keys, instincts, etc.. He didn't even play defense in HS, the hill he has to climb to learn all of those things and move ahead of a number of talented kids won't be overcome in a year or two. If he does move there, I think he'll be limited to Buck, I don't see him playing Mike with everything that position requires.
