Why is it irrelevant? The basic premise of the argument for why a coach needs
to swear is that somehow it is necessary to get your point across, or that your players will not be motivated enough to go out and win. Well, even though we can't swear on CB, we don't seem to have a problem getting our points across and I don't know anything about Utah HS football, but I'm guessing this coach Dupaix was reasonably successful as a coach even without swearing.

I played for both types of coaches, and felt much more motivated to play hard for a coach that didn't swear at me.

So...why is swearing by a coach necessary? Does it really help your team be more successful?

BTW...here is a link to an article by a college football coach outside Utah that won't be swearing this year. I'll be curious to see how he does compared to his predecessor...
