when I lived in Kansas City and the engineering society I was a member of held an annual scholarship fundraiser. Local companies would each buy a table for the evening and then we met in a big hall to play bingo and eat shrimp. They would bring big tubs of shrimp and set them in the middle of each table, and we would eat shrimp and play bingo. A lot of guys smoked cigars through the evening as well. By the end of the night, the combination of heavy cigar smoke and a gut full of way too much shrimp just about ruined any lingering affection I had for cigar smoke. Still kind of makes me want to puke.
