1. (I don't know for certain) but I heard and it seemed to me that Coach Anae radically altered (dumbed down) the game plan because of the weather for the Virginia game. Even Coach Mendenhall has mentioned predictability. I believe this contributed to the loss.
2. Of course BYU losses games in September. That's when it plays its toughest games. If it played its September schedule in a different month, it would regularly lose games in that month.
3. Several have noted the Texas suspensions. I would guess that across the board Texas' second string was more highly recruited than BYU's first string.
4. I don't understand those who say that Hill won't be much more accurate this season. His practice was limited last year because of the injury. He also
Had a new playbook. Last year he was out of sync much of the time. I'll be amazed if he passed for under 3600 yards this season
