Home scheduling issue not going away any time soon...frustrating as a season....
ticket holder. The back half of this years schedule is terrible (Nevada, UNLV & Savannah State). The biggest draw for me during the Savannah State game will be the half-time ceremony for Jim McMahon and I am praying for good weather so casual fans will show up and give him the support he has earned.

There will come a time....maybe it is here already....when people start lowering their financial and time commitments for football. I know, I know...there is an argument that a large portion of the fan base has been that way historically for years. I don't think the program is doing itself any favors with local fans regardless of the exposure they are finding with ESPN. I think it is apparent at this point that regardless of the spin they put on things they want into a conference desperately at this point and I hope it comes sooner rather than later.

For me, outside of P5 playoff access and better bowl opportunities, the ability to have consistent expectations for home schedules is what I want out of conference affiliation. If Texas, Baylor, OSU, Oklahoma, TCU, Kansas State and West Virginia were rotating through LES every other year I could easily absorb conference games against Kansas, Iowa State and Texas Tech. Then there is the opportunity to get home and homes with other P5 programs to fill the OOC schedule.
