Even though now they just aren't the same. Current shows for me:
1. Community - was my favorite show its first 3 seasons, and I stuck through 4 and 5, and will do with 6 this year. Hope for the best
2. Cougar Town - Big fan of creator Bill Lawrence (Spin City, Scrubs) and halfway through season 1 it found its place. 2 and 3 were great. It's declined since though, but I'll finish it.
3. Parenthood - it's still a good show, just some of the plot lines became less realistic in later seasons, in order to keep it fresh I imagine.

Recent shows that fit that mold:
1. The Office - the Michael-less seasons were just bad
2. How I Met Your Mother - Really enjoyed the first handful of seasons, stuck around to see the mother.
