Does this not light a fire under anyone else?

THE University of Texas Longhorns have endured 9 months of pure embarrassment and are designing a strategy to take back the ground they feel they lost, and they have put BYU as mortal enemy #1 heading into the season.

We didn't just damage their pride. We pillaged the innermost sanctums of their psyche, ransacked their pantries and billed them for the cost.

They don't want to simply win. We took prisoners and they want them back...and a few of ours as a passing interest. They want to send a message, and not just to us, but to everyone. They've circle the date, and they're broadcasting it. They want the country to watch that game, because the country saw what happened last time they played BYU.

Charlie Strong has calculated things. He has flat out admitted that the Natty is out of reach this year. Coaching longevity is earned through bold and successive statements, and he plans for his first statement to Longhorn Nation to be against us. In bold Amalikiah-esque fashion, he's vowed to figuratively drink the blood of Taysom Hill.

This is setting up to be a BEAUTIFUL coming out party for BYU this year. It will be hyped over and over again leading up to the game and throughout. Texas will be rabid. It's personal for them.

Win that game...then buckle your seat belts for the rest of the season. Win that game convincingly, and with dignity...and you win the hearts of LOTS of voters and bandwagon fans for the rest of the season.

TEXAS VS. BYU has the makings of being a 'catapult' game for a special season.
