Remember the Committee is making their own poll based on their own criteria -- and they are not releasing the criteria. Even if we are in the AP and UPI top 5, the committee could rank us #10 and keep us out of a NY bowl, as well as the playoff. Granted, that would cause a huge controversy, but it wouldn't be that much different than 1996 or 2001 (when the BCS announced they weren't taking us while we were still undefeated, prior to playing Hawaii).
