the one thing that went well with the offense was the deep ball...
...Beck's problems were hitting the intermediate to short stuff early on (he kept overthrowing them). But he was on the money with the freshman Collie and with Watkins early on. It was a lot of fun to see BYU WR's that could actually get open and behind the secondary on a routine basis.
