We are exactly 30 days from the BYU-Texas game in Austin. The BYU Alumni Association is once again putting on a tailgate party before the game. Best of all, we have improved on nearly every aspect from the last time we did it in 2011.

In case you need more convincing, here's a list of just some of the reasons you should come with your family and friends to the tailgate:

1. It's the best game on BYU's schedule (see Here and Here and Here for just a few supporting examples)
2. A totally indoor Air Conditioned location (you'll thank us later)
3. Only 1 Block from the stadium (come early to find a parking spot then easily walk to the stadium after the tailgate)
4. Authentic Texas BBQ meal!
5. Door prizes
6. Cheerleaders!
7. BYU highlights projected on the big screen including plenty from last year's beat down of Texas
8. Lots of BYU gear available for purchase
9. Games for old and young (including the frequently requested Corn Hole)

11. A DJ playing music to get you pumped for the game
12. You can come and go if want to step outside for a bit and mingle with the Texas tailgaters
13. Mingle with other BYU fans (and probably run into a friend you haven't seen for a while)

Tickets for the tailgate are $25/adult and $15/child (ages 3-11).  The cost includes full access to the tailgate including the BBQ Meal.  Rental of the Air Conditioned location close to the stadium is included in the price which is one of the reasons it's higher than last time.  But, it will be worth it!

A limited number of game tickets are also for sale at the Austin Chapter of the BYU Alumni Site.  For those wondering these tickets are in the North Endzone upper deck, similar to the tickets we had last time.  Texas is pretty stingy on visitor tickets so they're not prime seats (those sell for MUCH more), but the major benefit is sitting with a block of BYU fans.  Game tickets, while they last, are $90 each.  This is about as good as you can find anywhere, including Stubhub right now.

You can also buy combo of a game ticket and tailgate for $110/adult, $100/child.
