Unfortunately we will never know. The gap in competition is enormous
Lets say Hill looks awesome against MTSU and Wilson looks mediocre against USC. Does that tell you anything at all? There is minimal overlap in athletic ability between most of BYU's opponents and Utah's opponents. Utah plays 6 teams ranked higher than Texas. I really wish we were playing each other this year. It is very possible (even likely) that BYU will look better than Utah, they will win more games and they will not be a better team than Utah. To illustrate my point, I am betting that Utah will look awesome in their opener against Idaho State.
