it was (and probably still is) offensive to some and those who didn't find it
offensive won out. Perhaps some people switched sides. Perhaps it had to do with money. Maybe it had to do with the school being more careful how things were portrayed.

None of that makes the term Red Skin any less intrinsically racist and offensive. Just because we were desensitized to it, doesn't make it better.
