Yup, this. My brother played hoops a few times with a torn ACL
And I've torn my meniscus in both knees and continued doing various types of physical activity, albeit with some pain. That surgery and recovery is much shorter than ACL/MCL repair but its another possibility that could sideline a player for a number of weeks.
