You will lose if you fight it.

If traffic school is not available (you are not eligible or it is not offered) then at your first appearance ask for Pretrial hearing so you can discuss with prosecutor. That is where and when you ask for a PIA or Deferral of Plea (depending on state).

I had my daughter do this very thing recently. TS was not available so she was given the deferral. Will not go on her record.

Judges always side with the cop - they work together in enforcing and upholding the law. Unless you have rock solid evidence e.g. Witnesses, photos, video, etc. You Will Lose.
