Back when I attended school, there was some kid BYU was recruiting out of the Pacific Northwest who chose UCLA instead. When asked why, he said that on his trip to Provo, he stopped into a restaurant and saw people drinking coffee. That bothered him so much that he felt compelled to turn down BYU's offer and go with the Bruins instead.

If a recruit wishes to go to a particular school, they can come up with the most creative excuses imaginable to justify their choice.
