Take a week to re-center yourself and then hit it hard when you get back.

I actually received this advice after being laid off a few years ago. I was too stressed out to take any kind of vacation, but I wish I would have. I was out of work for 4 months and my wife and I could have really enjoyed that time away.

If I ever get back into the same circumstances, I'd really try to make the effort to get away. Maybe not Hawaii, but some time away would be good.
