I don't know if Gurney was quoting bronco there... but if bronco really said "I hope they both start and play" knowing full well that they wouldn't travel then I think that's a crappy way of handling the situation.

I suppose Bronco could be smooth talking the media but I don't think so. I guess there could have been more for JJ and Rob to do in order to travel (meaning they hadn't yet been ruled out) and the decision was made after this conversation between Gurney and Bronco.

I agree with what you said above "We shall see, I suppose. Hope they play"
