For me, it has to do with turning a 4 hour game into an all day event. I don't necessarily have too many other responsibilities, but I feel a little guilty turning a 4 hour absence from my home into an 8 hour absence. I could bring my wife and daughter with me, but they would probably be more miserable tailgating than they would be at home. It's hard enough to get them to stay through an entire game.
