BYU has averaged 19.2 pts in season openers since 2005, opposing teams
have averaged 14.33 points per game in those same meetings. We have a 66% win rate in the past 9 seasons. Losing 2 away and 1 home.

In reviewing the trends for the rest of the seasons the defense has over-performed in the first game and the offense has under-performed. (I think the defense gets beat up with injuries over the course of the season so they the stats tend to start slowing down in relation to the beginning)

What you have to ask... how does this offense compare to all the other offenses since 2005?

I think we win. I predict 24-6. UCONN doesn't likely score much more than 6 on our defense and I see our offense scoring at least 24 and likely more.
