Texas A&M is now the new king in the state of Texas. The Big12 schedule is nothing compared to A&M's schedule. If you are a top recruit in the state you are picking A&M over Texas any day of the week. This will force the Longhorns to do one of 2 things-
1. Expand the Big 12 and make it more interesting (BYU, UCF....or who ever)
2. Move to the PAC12 with Texas Tech, Okie State and Oklahoma.

Expanding the Big12 would allow Texas to still maintain control of their own destiny. However a lot more interest would be generated by playing Oregon and USC yearly. Being in the PAC12 would give them that excitement that A&M has in the SEC. A&M is quickly becoming the premier school in Texas....Longhorns need to do something.
