Question about connecting a laptop to my tv
My laptop doesn't have an HDMI port but it does have a SATA port. If I get a SATA to HDMI cord, will that allow me to stream my laptop to my tv?

SATA doesn't transmit video. Perhaps you have a VGA port, or a DisplayPort?

Yep, but they will transmit video only. HDMI does video and audio

DisplayPort can do audio. VGA can't

If you are just wanting to see stuff from a browser, a Chromecast has worked

That's too bad. It was worth a shot.
