A lot of times, being just marginally faster than your typical QB allows is a HUGE advantage for a QB because when the defense is in pass coverage, it allows for a wide-open field. Generally, even with one guy spying the QB, there's a lot of opportunity for a 4.7 QB to exploit that (see Tebow) and look like an all-pro RB.
