Real than he has been, as a holding midfielder. I've viewed Alonso for years as probably Real's most important player; without him, someone will need to pick up the slack, and Khedira fits that role better than Modric or Kroos.

If they do sell Khedira, they'll need to make sure they bring in a top holding midfielder too.
