Yes. The idea is to kick it to the 5 yard line within 2-3 yards
Of the sideline (which acts as a defender). It typically ends up over the course of the year in a net loss of about 3 yards for the receiving team. I'll take a start on the 17 yard line (averaged over the year) over a start on the 20 or 25.
