offense struggles so much against their defense, as most other teams they play seem to score more than we do. The only thing I can come up with is that Whittingham knows well how to stop us. I don't think it is purely athleticism, as there are other teams with athletes we have been able to score on.

UVA on the other hand is a different story...as there were a number of weather related issues and the field was in bad shape, as well as the first game under Anae. I bet if we had played them in normal field conditions later in the year, that we would not have had the same issues. I remember two games BYU played against UVA in the early 2000's and we scored a bunch of points in both games. UVA had good athletes then, just like they do now.
