So after thinking of what its going to take to come away with a victory from Texas, I decided a few things.

1. Get off to a fast start- This is going to be a game of momentum. If we can come out of the gate and punch Texas in the mouth and get the crowd out of the game early, then I see a good night for the cougs. A score on the first drive or a defensive 3 and out, will remind Texas of the nightmare from last year and take their spirits out of the game.
2. Turn overs- This is obvious, we have good ball security then I think T Hill and the offense is good enough to move the ball down the field. Also we need to force a rookie QB into making some bad decisions and come away with at least 2 turn overs.
3. Special Teams- Nothing takes away your momentum more than scoring and turning around and giving up a TD of the following kickoff. We need to keep good field position with good punting and good coverage. Make Texas beat us by moving the entire field, no sort fields. Along with that goes limiting big plays. Texas will make some big plays, but we need to keep them to a minimal. Also, kick the ball out of the end zone and take away the kick off return game all together if possible.
4. Proper Mind Set- BYU needs to come out aggressive knowing that they should win this game. They need to know that despite Texas losing some key players that they are still a very good team that can beat you if your not prepared to come out hungry. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PLAYING TO WIN AND PLAYING NOT TO LOSE...PLAY TO WIN! GO COUGS.
