Agreed! We are better prepared now to face a running qb than we have been
in the past. Having said that, there are a few other factors that do worry me.

1 - Strong has marked this BYU game for some time. From what I have hears, this game has been given more attention than any other on their schedule. That could be wrong but that is what I have heard because of how we manhandled them last year. He wants to send a clear message that Texas will not let that happen again. Earily, it reminds me of TCU in 2008... They practiced for us all off season and pummeled us that year.

2 - While I feel Ash is the better qb, I actually feel that the new guy will come out fired up. It is also very hard to game plan against a guy that has only played in garbage time. He is going to come out ready to prove he is a legit qb.

3 - Their D is stacked and incredible. They only gave up 94 yards to North Texas. I realize NT is not a big time program but not many teams do that to even a Dll school. Idaho State ran for double the yardage against the Utes. Nuff said! Taysom, Jamaal, our Oline and receivers are going to have to be ready to FIGHT to gut out a victory! The team that is most willing to die on the field will pull out the win! We have to punch them in the mouth early and keep punching the entire game!

4 - Our deep ball will have to connect in order for the run game to open up. Strong knows defense and showed that at Florida. If we are to be successful and win, we will need a couple of big plays down field to open up the run game. The problem is... this secondary just hauled in four int's against North Texas. It is going to be tough to burn them.
