Actually, I doubt anything positive or negative that all the "we we" fans....
...on a message board proclaim has anything to do with the reality of what staff and players think. Now I know fans love to think of their input as being significant and that psychological "we" attachment feels good, but not one fan here will game prep outside the trip to Dans for chips and dip, none will take a game day chop to the mouth, none will do a meaningful lift or exercize or learn a new block shed technical skill this week. Nobody here will sweat in Austin OTF as a player. The "we we" fan can think whatever he or she wants and it is meaningless drivel. What matters is that which lies in the mind and heart of each player and coach, and collectively among themselves as a team. They are already poised to either win or let the Texas hype defeat them before they take the field. Either way there is no we in the collective beat down, bruising, tackling and hitting that transpires during a game. The responsibility of being a more collective "we" comes down to leaving fewer crumbs in the couch and leaving no soda pop glass rings on the end table. My point is therefor simple...trust the players to get up fot Texas. If they cannot get prepared for Texas it actually turns out to be their fault, not ours and nothing we say or do will ever change that.
