The Robert Preston version is great. Can't vouch for the Matthew Broderick one.
Some classic songs in that musical: 76 Trombones, Marian the Librarian, and Ya Got Trouble. But the best one is the opening scene on the train: Rock Island. Music Man was the musical that interested me in theater. I saw it when I was 12, and decided to go into acting. Graduated with a degree in theater 14 years later.
