They're probably pretty close but the things that come to mind for me
are:

- Seahawks, Mariners, and UW are right in Seattle. If you like attending those sports, you couldn't do that in Portland without traveling. But you miss out on NBA and BYU bball playing at UP every year.

- Some people may not care but in Seattle you can live very close to saltwater which brings crabbing, clamming, oysters, and call me crazy but I love spending time on Puget Sound beaches in the summer. Also have islands, whales, ferries. No saltwater in Portland.

Everything else is probably pretty comparable.
