Juergans had beat his guy pretty soundly and it stands to reason he thought he had a chance to beat the safety....also the likilihood of A: Houston stripping the ball, and then B: capitalizing on it with a 60 yard hail mary were slim

Arlellano's fake punt was defended well...it wasn't a huge deal. If he converts on that play the game is over. Worth the gamble IMO
