The 300 LBS strength & speed coach in the room.
How is it that a premier football program like BYU has an overweight, obese strength and conditioning coach? Isn't that tantamount to having a broke financial adviser or a short fused anger management coach? I've heard from many(personally) former BYU players who say they and others were not only underwhelmed with Jay Olmer's coaching but even injured/hurt by a dysfunctional methodology/philosophy that forces players to either train on their own or make their way through the program with their hearts in their throats. If our program is indeed ready to make the move forward/upward to the BIG12 or elsewhere shouldn't our strength and conditioning/speed coaching do the same? Is this not considered a problem?
