The AAC. If they grabbed BYU and Boise it would be an interesting conference. BYU, Boise, Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF typically field competitive top 40 teams. And with SMU, USF , and ECU you get some decent teams who could sneak into the top 3 of the conference.

I get that there are positive to being indi. But besides TV, I don't care about them. A 12-0 BYU Indi or AAC has the same chance of a playoff IMO. And a 10-2 / 11-1 BYU AAC has a better shot at a new years bowl

I'm not lobbying for BYU to the AAC, I want big 12. But if it became clear that it was not going to happen, I'd really consider AAC over Indi. But I'd take AAC over MWC in a heart beat.
