There are a sadly a lot of students at BYU who don't know anything about BYU sports or care for that matter. I was always surprised at how many people I would talk to on a Monday after a game and they wouldn't even know who BYU played over the weekend. And these aren't people who were studying over the weekend, they just had other priorities. They definitely are missing out on one of the great experiences at BYU.

And it wasn't just BYU sports, but a lot of people just aren't interested in sports in general.
