People that follow BYU recruiting even lightly would've read about the Jurgens twins. They were undersized recruits from Texas that overachieved for their size and didn't get many offers. They were given preferred walk on status from BYU. If you attended any of the open practices or scrimmages you would've seen Mitchell make great plays consistently. Especially in the LES open scrimmage. And the reports out of fall camp usually mentioned Jurgens but most people were focusing on the equally praiseworthy reports on Blackmon, Dye, Kurtz, Leslie, and Pearson.
